So today was the big day! Mark and I had our ultrasound today to find out the gender and we are happy to announce that we are having a girl! She is right on schedule, 16 weeks 4 days, and the due date has stayed the same, December 20, 2008. We were able to get the 3D ultrasound but as was expected she looked a little scary. haha Seeing her move and kick was great. We were also able to see her stomach which was full so she has been drinking/"eating" and her heart was just beating away! It was a great day and I can't wait until my next ultrasound, which will be in about 4 weeks, and see how she is growing.
We have prettymuch decided on a name for her, McKenna Elizabeth. What we are still iffy on is the spelling, McKenna or MacKenna; however, we are leaning more towards McKenna.
Although Mark wanted a boy, he is happy...and when she gets here and he holds her he will be even happier. He says he won't be wrapped around her little finger but we'll see how that goes. haha
