Babies

McKenna has a DVD that she adores to the fullest extent called 'Praise Baby' and she puts it in the DVD player and watches it every morning...as many times as we'll let her. McKaela has learned to love it too so this is how they spend the mornings a lot of times.

Poor Baby

McKaela had to have more bloodwork done yesterday day (yes, this is for yesterday which I forgot about amidst the craziness) to re-check her T3 and T4 thyroid. After I took the bandaid off I saw the bruise. Poor baby. She gets that from me, I bruise pretty much every time. Please keep her in your prayers and hopefully this bloodwork will come back perfect and the abnormalities from last time were just a fluke.

Shh! Baby Sleeping!

This is where McKenna puts her babies to sleep a lot of times; on the stairs. If you'll notice, they are on their stomachs. They always are. McKenna and McKaela are both, and always have been, stomach sleepers so of course her babies are too. :) I love it!!

I love watching McKenna play. It is a highlight of my days.

And just in case you are wondering, baby does cry and need to be held and she (one of them) eats dinner at the table every night. Sometimes she is sleeping when we start dinner but she will wake up and start crying so McKenna has to get down and get her...or she asks me to get her for her. She is such a good little mommy to her babies!

I <3 Ruffles and French Onion Dip

This pretty much sums up my feelings for Ruffles and Helluva Good French Onion dip. I pulled out a chip and there it was...a heart! And I answered, "yes, yes I do love you"...and then I ate it. Yum!

Monkey Joe's

This morning I took the girls to Monkey Joe's so they could play and McKenna had a blast!! I wish McKaela had but she was not feeling too well. McKenna was going down all of the jumpy slides. The one in the picture is the biggest of them all and pretty much straight down. By the end of our time there today she was climbing all the way up by herself! The only thing was that she likes to go down on her stomach and they have a rule that you slide down on your bottom only. Her face when she goes down properly is priceless though. LOL You get some speed on those slides! LOL

Womb Bear

This pretty much sums up my day...a womb bear. If you have not heard of it it is a bear that has a box in it that makes the sounds of the womb and soothes baby. McKaela is sick with a cold and she was not sleeping well at all so after spending 20+ minutes up there rocking her and her waking up whenever I laid her down I just brought her down to our bed and laid beside her, turned on the womb bear, and stroked her head until she fell asleep. Oh to be a child again when mommy and daddy's bed, a paci, a soothing sound and a soothing touch made everything better.

What a Good Big Sister

I'll admit, yesterday was so busy that I did not even think of taking a picture at all. I need to work on that. I really just did not have time to breathe until the girls went down last night and by then I was exhausted and went to bed too.

None the less, here is today picture! McKenna is such a good bog sister and such a big help too! I have a feeling I'm going to really be needing her big help come September. Haha

Yesterday

Monkey Joe's

We had a play date this morning with Colin and Matthew and McKenna loves this jumpy! For a good hour to an hour and a half she did this; slide, climb back up, and slide again. It was so much fun to watch her!

Sorry the pic is a bit blurry, I couldn't get her to stop long enough to take a picture. Haha

Grapple?

Today McKenna and I had our first Grapple (pronounced: Grape-L); it "crunches like an apple, but tastes like a grape." Our conclusion was we should keep those in stock! :)

I was sitting here playing Farmville and I got lost in time and it is now after midnight...well it still counts, right? I mean, I haven't gone to sleep yet! LOL

Growing up so fast!

This is McKenna's purse that she got for Christmas. She LOVES this purse! In it you will find a matching wallet with a "credit card" in it; it is actually a sail and sign card from our cruise last year.

What a Beautiful Day

Nothing special happened today but in thinking back, I am so blessed.

God has a sense of humor though, do not be fooled. My prayer today was for the girls to go down at the same time so I could have a "little break"...God answered my prayers alright; he gave me a less than 20 minute break. It was just enough to have a quick quiet time and both girls were up. I was not amused by His humor but it goes to show, always be specific when you are talking to God; he can read your thoughts but unless you specify He will answer with a bit of humor.

Goose Egg

Poor McKenna, after we got home from a great morning at breakfast (the new Spicy Chicken Biscuit from Chick-fil-A, by the way...awesome!!) and The Little Gym she fell and hit her head on a metal weight rack. :( It left a nice sized goose egg on her head. The picture really doesn't do it justice either. Poor baby.

Potato Girl

This little girl loves her potatoes...just like her mommy! After church this morning we did a little shopping Anderson then went to McAllister's for lunch where McKaela helped daddy finish off his baked potato. She was so cute sitting there eating...and so proud too! Too sweet.

This evening we took the girls to The Festival of Lights in John's Island and the loved it! It really was spectacular! I didn't think that McKaela would get too much out of it but she did; I wish I could have gotten a picture of her, her face at times was just in awe. Both girls really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun.

Well I need to get to bed myself. I hope everyone had a splendid Sunday!

A New Year, A New Challenge

So this idea is not mine, I have heard of people doing it in years past and thought it would be fun to do; so for the next year (I hope) I am going to post a picture every day. I don't know what it will be but at some point each day I will post picture of some kind. There may be a caption, there may not, depending on what's going on but there will be a picture.

That being said, here comes the first! McKenna told Mark that those clothes were hers when in fact they are McKaela's so right here you see my 2 year old wearing her sisters' 6-9 month clothes. LOL
