Life is Good!

Goodness, things have been going well but they have been pretty crazy! Mark is not fast cruising anymore but he does have three duty days in a row and then one day off. That one day off goes by SO fast and does not seem to come back around for such a long time! Although it is just 3 days. Poor thing, he is so exhausted when he finally gets to come home that he sleeps late the next day and then doesn't like to because it cuts into the day. It's not fun but the time that we do get together is just that much more special. We make the most of it.

My summer class has started and is actually going pretty well. I am only taking one because that is all that I could get into but that's ok, it gives me time to focus on this class. I am happy to say that after three more classes I will finally be done with this degree. It is a long time coming! I am going to keep going on, not sure if I will take a semester off or not but either way I will keep going on with a Masters in mind. After that, if things go as planned, the next step is a doctorate. Now that one scares me!! haha I like writing papers and all but not when they are 10-20-50 pages!! But alas, I can see that in my future.

My pregnancy is going quite well. I am loving being pregnant! I told that to Mark the other day and his response was "Well then we'll just knock you right back up!" haha Seriously though, I have not had any morning sickness, afternoon sickness, evening sickness, nothing like that. The most that I have had along those lines is nausea but even that was not all of the time or very bad. I had a couple of food aversions that have since gone away and only maybe a handful of cravings. My pregnancy has been super great! I can honestly say that I love being pregnant. It is a wonderful thing and a wonderful time.

On July 9th Mark and I are going to have a 3D ultrasound done to try and determine the baby's gender. We decided to go this route not only because we are excited and anxious to find out but also because with Mark going out to sea we want to be sure that he will be there. As you know, a lot is going to determine on the baby and whether he/she is cooperating. If we cannot determine anything on that day that we have to wait a few more weeks until my doctor does the next ultrasound. I will be updating here as well as I am sure that we will be making calls so don't worry. It will be a busy day and an exciting day, whether we find out the gender or not, so just bare with us if we don't get to your call or email first thing.

Those are prettymuch the big things that are going on in our lives, if anything else comes up I will be sure and update again!

Ciao!

It Has Started

Well it has all started...Mark and I were informed yesterday at about 9am that he has to stay onboard until further notice; as of not it will be August. They are fast cruising so it is kind of like they are out to sea but not really. Not fun. It wouldn't be so bad except I can't get onboard. Used to, when they were docked at NOB, and they had to fast cruise I was able to go up there and go aboard to have dinner with Mark or just hang out...with them in the shipyards I can't do that. That makes it hard. I am hoping that Mark will be able to come home at some point be it to do laundry to because he was able to sneak away (haha). Being that they do not have the laundry service hooked up onboard right now I don't know how they expect to have all of those guys (and no it is not the whole ship, just Mark's division) stay onboard for like a month without any laundry service...YUCK!
As fun as this is not if there is one thing that I have learned by being a military wife is that things can change at any time! Is it always fun? No. But it happens. The first day is always the hardest, especially when it comes on as a shock, but after a day of tears and saddness you wake up the next morning and you realize that it is one day closer to the end when he will be home and just like you made it through last time you will make it this time.
Well I will keep you updated as to what goes on!
Ciao!
