So since deployment deployment was postponed indefinitely, Mark was able to go on the cruise with us!!!! It was so much fun and a much needed getaway for everyone! It will be hard when Mark has to leave again to go back to VA but it was so nice getting to spend some time away with him. The girls had an absolute blast having him to themselves. I love watching them together.
Since we are a Navy family I thought that this would be a good way to keep everyone informed with our life...the who, what, where, when, why per se.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody." - 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
The girls and I woke up and had heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes with homemade chocolate pancake syrup.
I would say that these little girls are a bit loved, wouldn't you? ;)
And McKenna picked out my wine for the day. We were walking through World Market and she saw this bottle and said, "Mommy, this would be a good wine for Valentine's Day." How could i resist? ;)

All Good Things Must Come To An End...
My trip is over. :( I am heading home now. I know you probably think that I should be happy that I am leaving knowing that Mark is still here and not deployed but I'm not. It is just that much harder!! He is still so close yet so far away. Leaving now is just leaving him. Before it was us leaving at the same time (more or less). Way not fun. Not to mention, I have SO MUCH to think about now! Do we stay in FL, do we move to VA, do we just commute? So much to think about now.
On another note, I had a FABULOUS time with Mark!! Amazing, as always! It is always nice to have him to myself for a while. I do miss my girls though and I am so excited to get home to them!!

Wait, what??
Oh my goodness, I don't even know what to think. So, Mark and I are at a bar after a wonderful dinner and my phone goes off, it is an email from the Truman FRG saying since the press conference this afternoon not to speak with any reporters if we are approached. Um...what?! What is going on?? I then look to see what else i can find, because Mark doesn't know anything, and I have an email stating that deployment has been postponed indefinitely. What?! No. So Mark calls into work and sure enough, deployment postponed and no one knows really what is going on. Great. Now, you'd think that I would be happy about this but do you not realize that this turns my world completely upside-down?? I am already in deployment mode, my emotions are dealt with and in check, I am ready for Mark to leave and get on with this whole thing. Nope. Not going to happen right now. So what now?? We are states away from each other, we don't have a house or any of the makings for a house, the girls and I are in our little routine in FL, we've got this, we are ready......not anymore! Mark and I just sat there after he got off of the phone and we just looked at each other like, "what now?" Finally, I broke the silence with tears in my eyes saying, "I just want you to leave." Luckily, Mark felt the same way and knew what I meant and just held my had and said, "I know, me too." Postponing deployment messed up so many lives! I'm talking sailors were already living on board, had sent their families home, sold their homes and their cars, let their leases run out. I mean, it just ruined more lives than it helped, really. All because a budget couldn't be reached...nice. Do they not realize that they wasted more money than saved by canceling deployment?! Everyone was on board, food was on board, everything and everyone ready, set, go! And then you can't "play nice" so you screw up thousands of other lives. Good job, congress. Well, nonetheless, it is back to the drawing board for us. At this point, I am not sure what to do now. Prayers are definitely appreciated!

It's Here, It's Here!!!
Well, I am on my way to the airport to go see my husband!!!! I am so excited I don't know how I got any sleep last night!! haha
It was hard leaving the girls though. Definitely not something that I enjoy doing. :( I didn't tell them I was going to see daddy because I knew that would make it a bit worse.

It's February!!
I can't believe that it is February already. This is a big month!! I am leaving in a few days to go see Mark before deployment really begins. It will be so good to see him again! I miss him dreadfully. I will miss the girls and it is so hard to leave them, even with mom and daddy, but they will be ok and have a blast, I know that. Not to mention, this time will be so good for Mark and I. In the end we will have been apart for about a year so this last little bit will be good.
Let me see, what else is going on...oh, a cruise!! We are going on a cruise with my in-law's at the end of the month. Super excited about that!!! It will be nice to get away and get the girls away and all.
The girls are doing well, Maisie is starting to walk more. She'll be walking constantly before I know it! And the doctor wanted to send her to physical therapy. *rolls eyes* I told that doctor that I wasn't worried about it! I TOLD her that she walks just not all of the time and not alone but she can. The doctor didn't believe me though. Said that she wanted to send her anyway because "most babies are walking by 14 months." Um...ok, your keyword there was, "MOST". My daughter is not "most babies".
Nonetheless, so far so good and I am very excited about seeing Mark in just 3 days!!
